The strawberry shape

The strawberry shape is that woman who carries most of her weight at the top, having her shoulders broader then her hips, usually heavier breasts, as an inverted triangle. Usually, her legs are her best feature.

Once more, the secret to flatter your body is balance.

If you are a strawberry body shape, you will be able to get that balance and create the hour glass illusion by adding some volume to your bottom part: start with the perfect bra. They have to give you the right support and keep the girls in the right place!

V-neck shirts and sweaters are awesome to “diminish” your bust and balance your figure.

Use soft drapey fabrics: they are your best friend for tops and dresses.

Shoulder pads are a definite NO.

Avoid other shoulder details such as embroideries, sequins, overly puffy sleeves or anything that make your top part look broader. Empire line cuts are also appropriate.

Empire waist as well as wrap dresses will flatter your body type: use and abuse!

Avoid chunky tops and sweaters – you do need extra volume on top.

Now balance the bottom: knee length skirts are great. Tiered, softly pleated or ruffled skirts, bias cut, A-lines or flared skirts will also help creating a balanced hour glass figure.

Flare leg trousers are also a good trick. Think about using cargos: Yes for those pants!

Be fun and use bright colors on your bottom part – bring the attention to your fabulous legs.

At the end of the day, you can look stylish and fabulous in your own skin, no matter which body type you are. Your best dress? Confidence!
